I hoped you enjoyed a restful Easter break with your loved ones!

It was great to get back to work after the long weekend with news that the Albanese Government is the first to create, on average, more than 1,000 jobs a day. That's twice as many as our predecessors.

That means a thousand new opportunities created every day for people who work hard to provide for their loved ones and get ahead.

It's why we do what we do. Secure, well-paying jobs are central to Labor's mission and as Minister for Finance I couldn't be more thrilled with these results.

 CBR PADDLEBOATS OUT FOR TENDER

Between the big debates happening on the Hill, it's important to find time for the fun things in life - and that's what bringing paddle boats back to Lake Burley Griffin means for Canberra.

Visitors and locals alike have sorely missed the famous LBG paddle boats since they were removed from service last year to assess repairs.

Tenders are now open for an operator for the paddle boats to bring them back to service into the future.

If you're interested in this unique opportunity or know someone who is you can learn more and apply here.

SECURING DIGITAL ID LAWS

Last week, I was proud to get our Digital ID laws across the line in the Senate.

Digital ID is a simple but really important technology that helps you to safely verify who you are online, without having to repeatedly share original documents like your passport, license or Medicare card.

More than 10.5 million Australians are already using Digital ID.

Want to learn more? You can check out the Digital ID fact sheet here (https://www.digitalidentity.gov.au/sites/default/files/2023-09/australias_digital_id_system_legislation_factsheet.pdf) .

With so much happening in Parliament at the moment, you'll be sure to hear from me soon with more updates on how Labor is delivering for Canberrans.
