ASC PTY LTD BOARD APPOINTMENT

The Australian Government is pleased to confirm the appointment of Ms Alice Williams as a Non-executive Director of the ASC Board for a three-year term.

ASC plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing Australia’s sovereign submarine capability. ASC built and sustains the Collins class submarine fleet and has been tasked to implement the Life of Type Extension (LOTE) program for the Collins fleet.

ASC has an important role to play in upskilling the existing submarine industrial workforce, which will help support the future transition between conventional and nuclear powered submarines. This provides crucial support for the nuclear-powered submarine Optimal Pathway recently announced by the Government.

Ms Williams brings over 20 years’ experience on a diverse range of boards. She is currently a director of Djerriwarrh Investments Limited, Vocus Group, Mercer Investments (Australia) Limited and Pro Medicus.
She has applied her extensive commercial, financial and investment expertise as Chair or member of the Audit and Risk Committees for these companies and in a range of previous appointments, including Cooper Energy Limited, Victorian Funds Management Corporation, Port of Melbourne Corporation, Airservices Australia, and State Trustees Limited.
