For the first time since Federation, net debt has crashed through $400 billion under the Government’s watch.
 
For a Liberal Government that promised to get debt under control six years ago, seeing net debt more than double on their watch is a clear sign of failure.
 
If you can’t manage your own budget then how can you control the broader economy.
 
Scott Morrison, Josh Frydenberg and Mathias Cormann cannot be believed when they claim to deliver “responsible budget management”.
 
Instead of spin and empty rhetoric, what we need from the Government is a detailed plan for economic growth and managing debt.
